The Parts of You | Las Partes de Ti — Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) 

Sometimes it can feel like different parts of you are moving in different directions. Even now as you’re reading this- there may be a part of you that wants to feel better, and another part that might feel scared to. Una parte de ti quiere crecer, sanar, avanzar… mientras otra parte solo quiere protegerte, mantenerte a salvo, no volver a lastimarse. 

Through Internal Family Systems (IFS), we get curious about our internal experience- tu interno . Especially the ones that learned to protect you by being perfect, staying quiet, people-pleasing, overworking, or shrinking yourself to stay safe.

Aquí no tratamos esas partes de ti como algo que hay que “arreglar” o eliminar. We approach them with compassion, curiosity, and respect — so they can feel seen and heard and start feeling safe enough to relax. 

Healing the Past | Sanar el Pasado — EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy)

The goal is not to erase what happened. The goal is to help your nervous system understand: that happened and it’s not still happening right now.

Trauma, stress, depression, and anxiety live in the body- not just the mind. Viven en la respiración, en la tensión muscular, en cómo el sistema nervioso aprende a estar en alerta o en shutdown. 

Through somatic therapy, breath awareness, and gentle, therapeutic movement, we work on helping your body remember safety. No solo hablamos de paz. Ayudamos a que tu sistema nervioso pueda sentirla. 

The Power of “Us” | El Poder del “Nosotros” — Relational & Authentic Therapy 

The therapeutic relationship is fundamentally the most important part of the therapeutic process, which means it’s important to feel a genuine connection with your therapist. And that can be a difficult thing to know or trust, especially if there has been significant relational ruptures.

In our sessions, I’m not a blank wall or bot. No soy solo la terapeuta que escucha y asiente. I show up as me- imperfect, real and present. I acknowledge my style and personality may not be for everybody- and I honor that choice for everybody.

We pay attention to how you relate to me because it can give us information on how you move through relationships, family dynamics, work spaces, and other sources of connection.
